To Join an Agility Class:
Download, fill out and MAIL TO DOG WORKS,
this class application pdf. When we receive this application in the
mail along with a copy of your shot records and a check for the class
fee, we will reserve your spot. New to agility classes in 2008 is an
added $5 handling fee for any class fees handed in to the instructor
the first class of the session. We need you to mail this application to
us for each class session that you attend. A shot record need only be
sent once in a calendar year. As well as mailing the above form, please Click here to complete an online registration which puts your information in our computer. You will need "application" as the user name and "dogworks" as the password to access this on line form. Do this online form the first time you join an ongoing class in a calendar year. You will need to mail your class fee with the class application pdf each session you attend.
Agility can build confidence in your pet and also be an excellent conditioning outlet. You and your pet must be reasonably fit. There is room in our program for teams that are just out for a little outdoor activity, as well as those wanting to be on the next World Cup team!
INTRODUCTION TO AGILITY: requirement for this class is the successful completion of our new "Advanced Training Class" before enrolling in the Introduction to Agility class.
INTRO INTO AGILITY Morning Introduction Class is on going, check with Brian Ferrand, Instructor. $90. $95 if paid to instructor beginning day of class session. (6 lessons) A short May session is offered: Thursdays, 6:30 pm. May 1,8, 15, 22. Four Classes $65 Brian
In this beginning class you will learn obstacle execution and beginning handling - ground work, front and rear crosses, "with me," "go on," and much more. Overweight dogs will not be allowed to jump regulation heights. Dogs may start agility with a less than perfect stay and recall, but will not advance past level one without good stays and comes in a group setting. Aggressive dogs cannot attend a group agility class. Any dog showing aggression while in an agility class must wear a muzzle. Handler and pet should be reasonably fit. Brian Ferrand, Instructor.
LEVEL 1 AGILITY: Evening session Thursday is ongoing, $85 per six lesson session. $90 if paid to the instructor at the start of class. The goal is to be trial ready by spring! We'll address obstacle performance, handling maneuvers, and run short sequences. Brian Ferrand, Instructor.
LEVEL 2 AGILITY: Morning sessions is ongoing, chech with Brian to join an advanced class. $85 per six lesson session. $90 if paid to the instructor at the start of class. A continuation of learning handling skills and patterns will be developed in this class. We'll run sequences and focus on clear, consistent handling, as well as speed. Brian Ferrand, Instructor

LEVEL 3 AGILITY: Evening session Wed. evenings, class ongoing. $85 per six lesson session. $90 if paid to the instructor at the start of class session. Team must have novice standard title. Open to dogs with trial experience. We'll run sequences and focus on clear, consistent handling, as well as speed. Gamble and snooker strategies will be covered also. Brian Ferrand, Instructor
Private Lessons with either Maureen or Brian can be arranged.

Both Brian and Maureen use the DWTC list to inform students of class dates, times, and any last minute changes. It is entirely up to you to make special arrangements with your instructor if you do not join the list.
