Dog Works Agility Classes

Agility can build confidence in your pet and also be an excellent conditioning outlet. You and your pet must be reasonably fit. There is room in our program for teams that are just out for a little outdoor activity, as well as those wanting to be on the next World Cup team!

Margaret will  offer an intro to agility class for dogs who have completed a basic obedience course starting on May 17.  Contact Margaret for more information, remember to fill out class application and mail to Dog Works to reserve a spot in the class.

Maureen will teach some advanced agility starting in late May. 


Take a private, one on one lesson, or put a small group together to train with Maureen. AFTER FILLING OUT AND MAILING IN YOUR CLASS APPLICATION,   CONTACT instructor Maureen  via email, using "Dog Works" and only "Dog Works" as the subject line.  Include the following in your email:

  1. Your name and phone number
  2. Your dog's age, breed, name
  3.  The classes you have attended with this dog at Dog Works.
  4.  The class name, day and time, and group  you would like to arrange. 
  5.  Remember to download the above pdf and mail to Dog Works. 

Private lessons are available year round.  $50 per hour, for one or two people.  $75 per hour for three or four people.  $100 an hour for 5 or more dogs.  


Free training on our field is open to students who have are currently enrolled or have been in a class in the last year. We ask all students who use the field to please rake a few piles of leaves and toss them over in the woods. Don't want to rake?  Leave $15 check on desk per training session. Maureen uses the DWTC agility list to inform students of class dates, times, and any last minute changes. It is entirely up to you to make special arrangements with your instructor if you do not join the list (link at bottom of this page).

To Join a  2010 Agility Class:

Download, fill out and mail to Dog Works, this class application pdf. When we receive this application in the mail along with a copy of your shot records and a check for the class fee, we will reserve your spot. Your first agility group sessions are 6 lesson for $100. Your second group agility session with Maureen  drops to $90. $5 handling fee for any class fees handed into the instructor the first class of the session. Rates will change if class sessions are longer or shorter than 6 lessons. 

We ask you to mail a class application to us for each class session that you attend. Drop ins for Brian's class  should use the short form application .  Students may give class instructor application and check during the last week of a class session.  A shot record need only be sent once in a calendar year.
