Maureen,

I learned so much in your lesson!  Thanks so much!

I tried the gentle leader on Honey last night for our walk.  She did it, but not without whining.  I carried on with images of me in a wheelchair facing me in the future as opposed to enduring a little whining now.  (What an effective image!!!)  Thanks for it!

This morning she went for the lead thrilled with the treat. She struggled on the floor for a while afterward. I got down and played with her when she stopped. And she was then just fine. I connected her leash only to her collar to take her out to do her business in our yard. Then knowing she had no excuse to vary her path by my side or call for my sympathy in her halting, I snapped the leash to the lead.

 Wow!!!!!

I had the most perfectly pleasant walk with a dog I’ve ever had in my life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   We went on a very long walk.  No whining.  No halting.  No bulking!!  I can only foresee it continuing in like fashion for the future.

Life as we’ve been knowing it has vastly improved!!  I absolutely love to walk.  And I love the attitude that that is what I am doing and Honey is coming along with me instead of vice versa!!

You’re a super teacher.

               Thanks,

                         Sharon

PS  See you for the evening obedience classes in early June.
