If You Must Leave Them Behind, Leave Them With Us.
Nigel, Dog Works Camper, July 2011
  • Download and print please.  First two pages must be filled out and turned in the first time you board in a calendar year.
  • Our vaccination policy
  • you must provide us with proof of a current 3 year rabies, a one year kennel cough (bordetella) vaccine, and
  • for dogs under 2 years of age, we must see proof of anual DPHL vaccines.
  • After your pet turns three, you must provide us with proof that your pet has had 3 annual DPHL vaccines in his lifetime.   We do not believe in over vaccinating and we will accept titer test within 6 months.
  • A copy of your shot records from your vet must be attached to your kennel contract that you print and turn in on the first visit of a calendar year.

Email Camp Dog Works  to reserve dates.  "Boarding Reservation Request"  must be the subject line of your email  or we might overlook your boarding request ! If you do not get a reply in 24 hours, you should assume that we did not get your email.  Maureen and Lee check their mail several times a day!  However, sometimes a new email address is filtered as spam.  We do not check the trash very often!  The phone works well, but we will still ask for a reservation email to be sent.
Please include the following in your email:

  • your name, your pet's name
  • your home and cell phone number
  • your drop off / pick up TIME and Dates.
  • we will respond to a received email within 36 hours.
  • did you remember "boarding reservation request" as subject line?
  • download, print, and bring with you the first time your board in a calendar year.
  • please browse all 5 kennel web pages.

Lee and Maureen offer specialized boarding that is hard to get at larger boarding places. Since we have a small scale kennel, the stress level should be lower for your pet. Some of our 6 inside/outside runs have isolation panels for dogs needing more solitude. We have added 3 new isolated portable dog runs. The portable runs (4 X 5 , 3 X 5, and 2.5 X 4) are used for small dogs or an older pet that would benefit from solid rubber padding and more bedding. These do not connect directly to an outside run. All dogs are given at least 4 or more turn out times in one of our 4 turn out areas.

  •     Bring your own food (in one or two meal baggies with dogs name & meal number on each baggie) because we believe you should not change your dog's diet. How to rank you dog food information.
  •     Also bring something that smells like you (a worn tee).
  •     We will supply kennel bedding or you may bring his blanket from home as long as it is machine washable and expendable. (The dog next to yours might be a chewer) !
  •     During flea season (June - Oct.) we ask clients to apply either Frontline (if your dog swims) or Advantage before boarding with us. Both products can be found at your vet. I use Frontline and I do not have a flea problem. Please do not bring me one. If your dog has fleas, you will be charged for a bath.

Maureen & Lee Robinson are the full time, live in,  kennel managers pictured below.

Since the kennel is located in our home, under our kitchen, we truly live with your pets.  Maureen's personal working border collies also live in the kennel.   We enter and exit the kennel all day long doing farm chores, dog training, gardening, etc.   Your pet is observed, turned in and out, and loved on, many times a day,  from sun up to 10 PM at night.   Maureen's bedroom overlooks the kennel, she hears what goes on in the kennel at night.
