Maureen
has taken a break from Agility Competitions to focus on Stock Dog
Trials. She has been taking lessons for the past four years while traveling
around the country learning about herding sheep.
Maureen has
no plans to ever offer herding lessons, but will help talented dogs and
handlers get started when time allows. If your dog has what it takes,
you will need to seek instruction from the farms listed below.
Lizard received the "Most Promising Young Dog Award" during the Bluegrass Classic Stock Dog Trial, Lexington, KY, May 20, 2007 and went on to competed in the 2007 U. S Bordercollie Handlers National Finals Nursery Trial held in Gettysburg, PA in September.
Following in Lizard's footsteps, Newt was given a special award at the 2008 Bluegrass Classic. Newt met the qualifications to run in the 2008 National Nursery Finals, in Sturgess, SD and qualified and competed in the 2009 finals held Sept. 2009 in Oregon.
Hellbender qualified for the 2010 Nursery National Finals but did not attend due to Maureen's cancer treatments. However, she won a big Nursery class at the 2011 Bluegrass Classic in May and is headed to the 2011 Finals in Carbondale, CO September 2011.
